SONH Runs Boston

Running to Amplify Inclusion and Community

My name is Alanna Flood, and I’m running to support Special Olympics New Hampshire and the athletes who inspire so many across our state.

I’m honored to be running on behalf of WMUR, alongside colleagues supporting Special Olympics programs throughout New England. This run is especially meaningful to me because Special Olympics New Hampshire is a valued partner, and I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer at events and spend time with athlete leaders whose determination, joy, and sense of belonging leave a lasting impression.

I believe deeply in the power of community and in using moments like this to help amplify important missions. Running this marathon is a way for me to stand behind athletes of all abilities and help support opportunities that extend far beyond race day.

Outside of training, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, whether that’s running, hiking, skiing in the White Mountains, or finding a quiet moment with a good book. Most of all, I value time with my family, who support me every step of the way.

I’m proud to be part of this team and grateful to support a program that celebrates inclusion, perseverance, and the power of showing up for one another.
