When I first floated the idea of forming a small team for our first WinniDip, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. My hope was simple: that a few students and staff from Litchfield Middle School (LMS) would be willing to step up, try something new, and represent our little school with pride.

What happened next completely blew me away!

What started as a “small team” quickly grew into something much bigger. Today, LMS has a team of 29 incredible students and staff participating in WinniDip — and as of right now, we are sitting in 2nd place overall!

Second place!

For a small school like ours, that is no small accomplishment. It speaks volumes about the heart, commitment, and school spirit that lives inside our building every single day. I see that spirit in our classrooms, in our hallways, and now, out in our community through this event.

WinniDip is about more than just braving cold water. It’s about teamwork, courage, community, and supporting a meaningful cause. Watching our students volunteer, raise funds, encourage one another, and step outside their comfort zones has made me incredibly proud to be principal of Litchfield Middle School.

Our team of 29 has worked hard to get us to this point, but we’re not done yet.

We would love your help to keep the momentum going. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. I am so close to hitting the $500 mark, and I would absolutely love to see our school reach (and surpass!) that goal.
