Join Mary and Gary for a 'Wonderland' Winni Dip!
This March, Mary Conroy and her lifelong friend and Special Olympics athlete, Gary Mayo, are taking the plunge in the Winni Dip! With over 43 years of friendship and countless shared memories, they're jumping into the icy waters of Lake Winnipesaukee to raise funds for Special Olympics New Hampshire.
Last year, they attempted the Mega Dip, which involves jumping into the lake 24 times in 24 hours. This year, they're opting for just one bold, refreshing dip because, as Mary puts it, "One dip in 24 hours is more our speed!"
This year's theme is Alice in Wonderland, and Mary and Gary are ready to dive down the rabbit hole to support the thousands of athletes who benefit from Special Olympics programs across the state. Gary is turning 55 in April, so they've set an ambitious fundraising goal of $5,500 - one hundred dollars for each incredible year of Gary's life!
