Freeze the Cop, Fund the Cause
I have made a lot of questionable decisions in my law-enforcement career, but voluntarily jumping into freezing Lake Winnipesaukee in the middle of winter might be the boldest yet.
This year’s theme is Jungle Safari, so I’ll be channeling my inner wild animal - equal parts fearless jungle explorer, mildly confused dad, and guy immediately questioning his life choices the second my feet hit the water.
I’m taking the plunge to support the New Hampshire Special Olympics, an organization that gives athletes across the Granite State opportunities to build confidence, strength, friendships, and a sense of belonging. These athletes show more courage and determination on a daily basis than I will during my entire 30 seconds in the lake.
Please consider donating to my Dip. Every dollar goes toward empowering Special Olympics athletes to chase their goals, compete with pride, and remind the rest of us what real grit looks like - no wetsuit required.
Thanks for supporting an incredible cause, cheering on these amazing athletes, and laughing with me (not at me… preferably) as I attempt to survive the jungle… in March… in New Hampshire.
See you on the frozen safari.
