Join the jungle where inclusion runs wild!
I’m plunging into the icy Atlantic for Special Olympics New Hampshire, and for me, this isn’t just a cold swim for a good cause—it’s personal.
Giving back has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family didn’t just talk about helping others—we showed up. Soup kitchens, food drives, charity walks—service was simply what we did together.
Sports have always been a big part of my world, too. My older brother and I competed on our high school varsity bocce team, a Special Olympics sport, and we were lucky enough to experience what it means to play, compete, and belong. That experience left a lasting impression on me.
I’ve also seen firsthand how vital these programs are. My younger brother and my uncle are both disabled and special needs, and they directly benefit from the kind of support and opportunities Special Olympics provides. My uncle competed for years in Special Olympics bowling and skiing—and those teams gave him confidence, friendships, and a place where he was celebrated.
Since moving to New Hampshire, I’ve made a point to stay involved—running charity races, volunteering, and finding ways to support causes that actually change lives. The Penguin Plunge is my way of putting all of that together and giving back to a community that truly believes everyone deserves a chance to shine.
If you choose to donate, know this: you’re not just supporting an event. You’re helping athletes feel seen, valued, and included—and that matters more than any cold water ever could.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
