I’m so excited to be making an icy splash into the Atlantic at the Penguin Plunge for Special Olympics New Hampshire! This year’s theme is “Jungle Safari” and I’m ready to go wild for inclusion — trading snow boots for safari boots and taking the plunge for an incredible cause!

Hello,

Thank you all for your support as I took the “plunge” on Wednesday. Despite the chilly temperatures, it was a wonderful experience—especially getting hosed down by the Hudson Fire Department—and well worth it in support of Alvirne High School’s Unified programs. Here’s hoping we’ll be back at Hampton Beach next year!

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to let you know that I will be “plunging” tomorrow during the school day at 10:30 a.m. Since the ocean event was canceled due to the frigid temperatures, the Hudson Fire Department has kindly stepped in to make sure we still get thoroughly soaked—courtesy of their fire hose! While it’s not quite the same as diving into the ocean, it will certainly make for an interesting school day.

Thank you so much for your support. I truly couldn’t have done this without your kindness and generosity. It means the world to me (and to the students!).

Have a wonderful day—and stay warm. I know I’ll be shivering tomorrow!
