Hi,

On March 7, I will be running into Lake Winnipesaukee for Special Olympics New Hampshire!  I was chosen to be part of my middle school's Unified team this year, which is a Special Olympics program.  We play sports with middle schoolers who have disabilities.  We meet every Friday for practice and we recently won our first game!  Even though it's not about winning and losing, we are all a little proud of the win.  

Special Olympics New Hampshire helps fund the Unified team.  30% of the money that my team raises will come back directly to us, and the rest will go to Special Olympics New Hampshire.  Last year the team was able to take a field trip to go bowling and get pizza with the money they raised from the WinniDip.

I've had an interest in supporting kids with special needs since I was in 5th grade and made a friend with special needs.  I've wanted to be a part of Unified since I first heard about it in 6th grade (it's only open to 8th graders).
