Year FIVE of freezin' for a reason!

I'm excited to be participating in the Penguin Plunge for my 5th year!! My first two years were "DIY" style due to the pandemic, but this will be year three of plunging with my team at the event!

How it all started: I've been donating to the Special Olympics and supporting plungers since 2014. In 2020 the event was short on volunteers, so I signed up to serve food to the participants inside the warmth of the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom. Because of my dislike for the cold, I swore up and down for years that I would continue to support plungers, but never become one myself. That all changed when the athletes took the stage and immediately won me over! I knew at that moment that I was going to plunge the following year, against my better judgement. 🥶

I'm told that once you become a plunger, you're a plunger for life - so I'm back for round FIVE!

The Penguin Plunge is the Special Olympics largest fundraiser each year. Please consider donating so that the NH athletes can continue to take advantage of all the amazing programs offered! It's about so much more than a love of sports for these kids - it's about comradery, a feeling of belonging, building social skills, gaining confidence... the list goes on & on!
