Always wanted to do this, so here we go!

I’ve always wanted to do the Penguin Plunge—but this year, I finally decided to stop talking about it and jump in (literally).

I’m plunging to support Special Olympics New Hampshire, an organization that gives athletes with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to train, compete, and thrive—both on and off the field. Their impact goes far beyond sports: it’s about confidence and community.

Yes, jumping into freezing water will be uncomfortable for a few seconds.

But the work Special Olympics does lasts a lifetime.

If you’re able, I’d be grateful for any donation—big or small. Every dollar helps provide training, equipment, events, and year-round opportunities for these incredible athletes.

Thanks for supporting a great cause… and for encouraging me to do something that’s way outside my comfort zone.

Why I’m Finally Taking the Penguin Plunge (and Why It Matters)

Sunday 1st Feb
For as long as I can remember, I’ve said, “One of these years, I’m going to do the Penguin Plunge.”
This year, I finally decided to stop talking about it—and actually jump.
I’m participating in the Penguin Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics New Hampshire, an organization that has a profound impact on athletes with intellectual disabilities across our state. What they do goes far beyond sports. They create opportunities for confidence, inclusion, teamwork, and belonging—things every person deserves access to.
Yes, the plunge itself involves running into freezing cold water in the middle of a New Hampshire winter. It’s uncomfortable. It’s intimidating. And if I’m being honest, I’m not exactly excited about the cold part.
But here’s the thing: the discomfort lasts seconds.
The impact of this organization lasts a lifetime.
Special Olympics New Hampshire provides year-round training, competitions, and support for athletes of all ages—at no cost to the families. The funds raised through events like the Penguin Plunge directly support these programs and ensure that athletes can continue to show up, compete, and thrive.
I’m doing this plunge not because I love cold water, but because I believe in stepping outside my comfort zone for something that truly matters. I believe in showing up for causes that strengthen our community. And I believe these athletes deserve every opportunity to succeed and be celebrated.
If you’re able to support my plunge with a donation—no matter the amount—I’d be incredibly grateful. Every dollar helps make a difference, and every contribution is a vote for inclusion, confidence, and opportunity.
Thank you for supporting this cause—and for cheering me on as I do something I’ve been talking about for years.
