The Penguin Plunge YEAR 25!!
Dear Friends and Family: Year 25 has arrived. In 1999 a very good friend of mine, Kevin Blais, reached out for support of a fundraising event he was taking part in, the Penguin Plunge. I happily donated to the cause. Then in 2000 Kevin reached out again, only this time it wasn't for a donation, it was to become a member of the Chilly Willies and help raise more money for the cause. Well through 24 years of plunging, with the continued support from Maryrae and the kids, and with the generosity of so many, we have raised close to $185,000 for this Special cause. I am hoping year 25 will be a banner fundraising year.
This year’s theme is “Alice in Wonderland” and it’s going to be a grand adventure down the rabbit hole with a whole lot of fun characters!
Please donate to my Plunge. It will make a profound difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics athletes participate in life-changing programs that promote physical fitness, self-confidence, and social inclusion.
