I am so excited to be making an icy splash into the Atlantic at the Penguin Plunge for Special Olympics New Hampshire! This year is especially important because a portion of our team fundraising is going directly to mental health awareness via a local program affiliate of Special Olympics.  One of our team member, Darren Pelio is rising to the challenge and still healing from the loss of his son Brennan Pelio tragically taken from this earth in December.  Darren needs our support and friendship, and as a group we are helping to support the Special Olympics and his cause by bringing attention to mental health awareness.  Please Help us reach a modest goal in this great endeavor.    Chief Plunger, Steve Kiander

Polar Plunge Team Member

Hello, My good friend Darren Pelio will be joining our polar plunge team this year.  December 10th, 2024 his son Brennan fell victim to a shooting in Manchester that is directly linked to mental illness.  Brennan Pelio an inspiring, hard working, brilliant young man was taken way too soon from his family and this earth.  Darren Pelio's plunge this year is to help raise awareness to a growing epidemic in this country, mental health awareness.  Please consider helping Darren's cause directly linked with our team and with his motivation to partake in a "cathartic" activity while doing so in remembrance of his son Brennan Pelio.
