Hero's Cup Update - 37 Days Away!

Wednesday 24th Jun

Hello,

I am reaching out to ask for your support as I participate in the 2026 Heroes Cup: Bravest vs. Finest, an annual baseball game that brings together New Hampshire firefighters and law enforcement professionals to raise funds for Special Olympics New Hampshire.

This year marks my fifth year participating in the event, and I continue to be inspired by the impact Special Olympics has on athletes and their families throughout our state. The organization provides year-round sports training, competition, and opportunities that promote confidence, inclusion, and personal achievement for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

As part of my commitment to the Heroes Cup, I am working to raise funds in support of this important mission. Any contribution, regardless of size, will help Special Olympics New Hampshire continue offering these valuable programs and experiences.

The game will take place on July 31 at Holman Stadium, with all proceeds benefiting Special Olympics New Hampshire, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 23-7207522). Most monetary donations are tax-deductible.

If you are able to contribute, I would greatly appreciate your support. If not, sharing this opportunity with others would also be helpful.

Thank you for your time, consideration, and support of this outstanding organization.

Best regards,

Tyler J. Thorgerson

The Heroes Cup has become a meaningful part of my year, and I’m proud to be returning again for the 2026 season!

Wednesday 25th Mar

Hello everyone! After a long New Hampshire winter, I'm excited to announce that I'm returning for another Heroes Cup season!

On July 31, 2026 I will be participating in the annual Heroes Cup at Holman Stadium in Nashua as a pitcher for Team Finest (Police) representing the New Hampshire Department of Corrections, where I have served for over eight years. I will once again be wearing #12.

The Heroes Cup brings together New Hampshire’s law enforcement community and first responders in a competitive baseball game between Team Finest and Team Bravest. While the event is built on friendly rivalry, its purpose is far greater than the outcome on the field. The game serves as a fundraiser for Special Olympics New Hampshire, supporting more than 2,600 athletes across the state.

These programs provide year-round sports training, competitive opportunities, health and wellness initiatives, and inclusive experiences that have a lasting impact on athletes, their families, and the broader community. Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to contribute to this mission through individual fundraising efforts, raising nearly $10,000 to date. That support goes directly toward sustaining and expanding programs that create opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to grow, compete, and be part of a strong and inclusive community. Participation in the Heroes Cup requires commitment both on and off the field. Each player takes on a fundraising role in addition to preparing for the game, reinforcing the purpose behind the event and the impact it has statewide.

I am looking forward to continuing that commitment this season and being part of another successful event. The Heroes Cup remains a strong example of what can be accomplished when public service, community engagement, and a shared cause come together. Thank you for taking the time to read and for your continued support of initiatives that strengthen our community.
